Movies Fanantic..

Watched quite a few movies recently as I have the time to do so. =)

Went to catch XMEN movie with Ivan 2 days ago.. It wasn't my fav movie as I did not catch the whole series of it. Thus, I was skeptical whether this movie would turn out nice. (was being convinced by Ivan to watch..well..i have no other choice as he was so keen on watching it!)."Its a kind of thriller movie with many encounters with mutants including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe whose appearances in the film series have long been anticipated."

I was so engrossed with it that my verdict was: **** rating! must watch!

During the show, Hugh Jackman's body caught my eye when he wore the biker jacket the old man passed to him.

Me: WOw, the guy is freakingly hot!

Ivan: (looking at me with rolled eyes..) erm.. ok

Well, cant blame me cos what attracts me to guys are always their well-bodied figure. haha!!~

This show is really soo nice that will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish! Its a story about a father putting himself at risk in saving his estranged daughter who is being kidnapped by a gang.

This show sparks my feelings for how much love a father would have for his own daughter.. For me, my relationship with my father wasn't exactly close so I was moved to tears by this movie.. I would encouraged everyone to watch it! Its definitely worth the $$! Highly raved!

It’s a kind of political thriller about an ‘international’ bank that funds the trading and manufacturing of war arms.

Throws open the whole conspiracy theory notion of a big evil institution that plays and orchestrates the entire war and financial politics surrounding wars blah blah blah.

Quite a decent film, which i feel some parts were rather predictable and boring. I was not being intrigued.. only watch if you have the extra cash to spare.**

Great Deals for Everyone

Got to know of this great For HIM/HER SPA PARTY from Yvonne!! Its only $10.70 per person which consists of many yummy goodies! You can choose even from one of their Signature Spa Treats to pamper yourself..! What's more, there's even high-tea buffet and goodie bag worth $250! Its such a GREAT DEAL!

I realised I've so free this 2 weeks that I went to watch 2 movies with Ivan this week. My friend, Sab even asked me to join the Amazing Race (Angels & Demons) under the incinemas.sg for fun. The grand prize is a trip to Rome for two!! (although I know its fairly a low chance of me winning.. but well, I am going to borrow the book to read lest they ask questions from the movie Angels and Demons!). But too bad, this registration is a ballot thing so I am crossing my fingers to see if I would be selected! XOXO

hai, left with 1 more week to go b4 I officially commence work. I know its going to get hectic for me again preoccupied with work, tuition and piano. Oh god, please do not let 4 may to arrive so fast.. =(

Relishing my lmoments in NTU! i HAVE FINALLY graduated!

Sorry guys for the hiatus in my updates of blog!! I have been tied up with my project stuff and busy shuffling to and fro from CCK to Punggol. Just two weeks ago, Ivan went for the piles operation and was recuperating at home. Thank GOD that he had a speedy recovery and he will be going back to work tmr! =) Busy taking care of him and driving his car too. (Finally had the YES from him to be able to drive his car alone!) haha~ it was quite a driving experience for me almost everyday and I think my parking skills have improved.. 'practice really makes it perfect'.

Now, I am enjoying myself everyday without having to fret over examinations and able to banish all school stuff away from me. I am elated that my 3 years of hard work in NTU is finally over and done with. Don’t think I am going to pursue my studies any further. I need a break!!

Recently, I plucked out my courage to go for my wisdom tooth surgery. It has been there since 2005 when I was working in COS with Sharon then. When i went to visit the dentist, he did an X-tray AND told me mine was an impacted tooth. It would require the cutting of gums! Soon, I was given 3 jabs of anesthetic to numb the right part of my mouth. Although I did not feel any discomfort during the surgery, It was when the anesthetic wears off when pain started to set in. (I would never ever want to go through it again after plucking 2 wisdom tooth in my life!)Now, I have to stick to a soft diet which consists of porridge, yoghurt or whipped potato from KFC. I am so sick of porridge!! Anyway, to think of the brighter side, this also means I might able to shed a few kilos!! Viola!!

Btw guys, the new Tampines 1 mall wasn't really fantastic as I thought out to be. It was too overly hype as written in The Strait Times especially with UNIQLO - the new Japanese casual wear store. They are just trying to create suspense by requiring customers to queue outside! But the store was not even packed in the first place. So irony... Generally, it was a mall catering to the mass market and my verdict was that Century Sq and Tampines MALL are still much better in terms of their shopping offerings.

Sad.. leaving my students soon..

Yesterday i went down to MND Complex to sign my appointment letter with MOM, putting myself at ease knowing at least its confirmed. By 30 March, I have to go for a pre-employment medical examiniation as well as a photo-taking session for my PS Card. Officially, I will commence work on 4th May! =) On the other hand, I would most probably be resigning from my piano teaching in the school and this will mean lesser income for me. But i know i should not work myself over the limit that I have no time for other stuff. Leaving my students after been teaching them for 2 years plus makes me feel sad...*sob sob* I wonder how am I going to break the news to their parents whereby I have known them for so long. But I guessed I will have to continue teaching my private students unless I am able to find them a new teacher in replacement.

Indeed I am still contemplating about my decision whether to continue teaching them or further my piano to Grade 8. Well, thinking long -term I should opt for the latter since it gives me an opportunity to teach in more established schools like Yamaha or Cristofori when I am tired of working outside. But it means more $$ cough up for my piano and uni fees (regretted taking a bank loan) once I started working!! money, money , not enough!!

Job confirmation! Horray!

These past weeks i have been having sleepless nights, worrying for my job especially in this recession period. Words could not express how much fears I had with me and my hair seems to be dropping drastically for almost 2 months. I had went for several interviews such as CPF, Citispa & MOM for the past two weeks. Upcoming one would be tmr for WDA. Well, I never thought myself to be applying for the civil service sector as I always believe that private sectors have more opportunities out there. However, at this point of time, I cannot afford to to selective. =( Today marks the end of my insomnia as I have got a confirmation call from MOM after 2 rounds of intense interviews with them. I was elated as I thought that my chances of getting in was slim. Thanks to God for the blessings.Nevertheless, its only a verbal confirmation and subsequent documentation coupled with medical checks are still due for approval. Pay wise has not been divulged by them so hopefully, everything will go smoothly and I will most probably start work between mid to end Apr. =) A confirmed job means I can get to go for my grad trip soon if time permits me to do so...!!

My grandma.. she's dressed in nyonya costume..love her..

A poem goes this way: Roses are red, .................

Everyone was given a teddy bear =) Its really cute..

Memories that last a lifetime for a woman would be her very own wedding. AS for men, they would find it a hassle as the limelight is mostly placed on the bride. True to a certain extent as ladies always want to be at their prettiest on the big day... My sis is not an exception either as she tried to take lots of bird's nest and tonics to purify her complexion to make it glowing before her big day. She also took up kickboxing classes and went on a diet to maintain her slim figure. Guys, that's all the hard work behind a pretty face and figure for you to admire and ogle at.

Her wedding is officially on 1 Jan 2009 and it is held at Marina Mandarin Hotel. The hotel ballroom was grand and the decor is nevertheless, impressive. There are approximately 420 guests who attended and it was an exciting day for Ivan and me on being the MCs for the first time. The wedding began with the usual customary traditions of tea ceremony followed by a cocktail reception and lunch. Above are the snapshots taken:
